In my quest for learning to perform hypnosis I went to Corte Madera to spend a month at the "HYPNOTHERAPY TRAINING INSTITUTE" (2002). And as you know one has always to find ways to perfect your style. So the last years I searched the internet for good informational learning material.
Last year I bought DVD's of Gill Boyne. He presented instant trance inductions. He did the hypnosis already. In his own amusing relaxed way. I even landed on the site of Tom Silver. I am impressed by Tom because of his flamboyant, analytical and down to earth approach of producing instant deep trance. This I can state after watching his very instructional dvd's.
In one of his dvd's he related to Gerald Kein. So I looked him up and lo and behold I was able to see him in earlier times. Nevertheless it was a good piece of action to look at learning to do instant deep states.
All these video/DVD's have broadend my way of scope and helped me perfect my consulting even more. I will keep on viewing them because ... 1 time watching is not enough!
Just now I read this text [see below] to realize that there is another way of looking at your behaviour. And that is to RECOGNIZE that in stress situations you behave like you have learned. The key question ... Who are you acting out!
Becoming aware! To notice this is happening is yet another way of becoming who you really are. Congruent with yourself in every aspect of life.
A Surprise Insight: 1987
I was stressed and tired at the time. Michael, my six year old had teased me just one too many times. I was ready to snap. Then it happened. He did it again. My small frame grew tight and taut, my shoulders raised, I turned sharply, loomed up into what must have seemed like a monster to a small child, arm poised ready to strike. I didn't.
In an instant something happened, I could see myself as if I was standing in front of a mirror. (Grinder 1995) Who was I? I had turned the clock back; I was my father, angry, being physically threatening. Michael was me as a child, shaking hovering, fearful, wide-eyed and innocent, what have I done? My body slumped; tears fell from my face. Instead of hitting my son, I drew him gently to my body and hugged him, sobbing.

For a starter I like to mention how important it is to project the intention in what your are doing. Some think it is a bad thing to project. They think it is manipulative. Alas for those thinkers. Like all doers, I acknowledge what hypnosis propagates ... it is very much important to project an outcome.
No projection, no flow of energy, no effect in the things that you do. And that is what you want don't you. Mucho effect in your treatment.
